Dr. Christopher Wong is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over 12 years of diverse clinical experience across various mental health services in Ireland. He graduated with a medical degree from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) in 2013 and subsequently completed specialist psychiatry training through the University College Dublin (UCD) Psychiatry Training Scheme.
Having lived in Ireland for the past 20 years, Dr. Wong has worked in multiple regions throughout his career, including Dublin, the Midlands, Donegal, and Galway. During his specialist training, he developed a strong clinical focus in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, spending 18 months working intensively in this area. This foundation has greatly enriched his practice in Adult Psychiatry, particularly in the assessment and management of ADHD. Dr. Wong is skilled at recognising lifelong patterns and distinguishing them from other mental health challenges. His areas of expertise also include General Adult Psychiatry and Liaison Psychiatry, working with individuals presenting with depression, psychosis, bipolar affective disorder, anxiety, and personality disorders.
Dr. Wong is committed to providing clear, compassionate, and comprehensive assessments, empowering individuals to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and make informed decisions about their mental health.
He is a member of both the College of Psychiatrists of Ireland and the Royal College of Psychiatrists (UK). Dr. Wong speaks English and Cantonese fluently.
