    No, MediOnline.ie is not suitable for emergency or life-threatening conditions. In an emergency, please contact 112 or visit the nearest emergency department immediately.

  • Are GMS (medical card) holders eligible for your services?

    At this time, we do not provide services for GMS medical card holders. However, we aim to expand our offerings in the future to include a wider range of customers.

  • How do I book an appointment?

    Appointments can be easily booked through our website or app, available on iOS, Android, or desktop. Choose the type of consultation you need, select a time that suits you, and connect with our qualified medical professionals.

  • Are the consultations confidential?

    Yes, all consultations are private and confidential. Our platform complies with data protection regulations like GDPR, ensuring your medical information is secure and accessible only to authorized personnel.

  • How can I access prescriptions or medical certificates?

    If needed, your GP can issue prescriptions or medical certificates during your consultation. Prescriptions can be sent directly to your chosen pharmacy via healthmail service for convenient collection.

    While MedicOnline.ie covers a wide range of conditions, we do not manage medical emergencies or highly complex cases requiring in-person hospitalization.

  • What if my phone call isn’t answered?

    Apologies if we are unable to take your call. This is usually because our admin team is busy assisting other patients or organising patient care.

    If your call is not answered, you may:

    • Leave a voicemail with your name, date of birth, and main query

    We aim to return missed calls on the same day.

    If you do not receive a response to your email within 2 working days, please call us again or contact us via WhatsApp.

  • When will my prescription be sent to the pharmacy?

    • GP appointments: Prescriptions are usually sent on the same day.
    • ADHD appointments: Prescriptions are usually sent within 2 working days.
    • Appointments after 6:00 pm: Prescriptions are usually sent the following working day.
